Emergency Supply Service/Urgent Repeat Medicines Service: COVID-19 In-Hours Extension

As you will be aware, in-hours extensions to the service offered by community pharmacies have operated to cover very busy periods. A further extension for COVID-19 has been agreed by NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group; this in addition to the NHS 111 emergency supply service. The extension of the local service continues to be in operation and will continue until further notice. During this time, pharmacists working in participating pharmacies during normal pharmacy opening hours will be able to supply a sufficient quantity of medication to Cornish residents (up to five days treatment) and to visitors to the area, to cover their duration of stay in Cornwall (up to 14 days treatment).

The community pharmacy NHS Kernow Emergency Supply Service will continue to operate outside normal working hours even when the temporary extension has finished.

Please note that the Emergency Supply Service is only available for UK registered patients.
