Pharmacy First – Hands on

The rapid and effective sign-up and then delivery of Pharmacy First services is collectively recognised as a critical step forward for community pharmacy development and we are seeing the vast majority of our pharmacies being signed up to provide the service.

As you will be aware the national package of service mobilisation has landed and we know that contractors and their pharmacy teams will be diligently working their way through its copious contents.

In order to move quickly to a position of confident patient Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) practice within the Pharmacy First conditions, we consider that moving professional competency from the desktop of SOPs and PGDs, to the hands-on of patient interaction practice could be further enhanced by providing a practical clinician boost to training.

The three LPCs of the deep Southwest i.e. Cornwall, Devon and Somerset have worked with our selected Pharmacy First ENT training provider partner, ECG, to create a high value training offer for your pharmacist-hands-on ENT practice.  This is at no cost to contractors, being covered by LPC held non-levy development  funds.

It is open to all pharmacists (including locums) practicing in the three commissioning counties area only, and is inclusive of all pharmacist colleagues from both independent and multiple segments, no matter what other training has been arranged by your central teams.
