NHS Influenza Vaccination Service 2021

As you will be aware the NHS Influenza Vaccination Advanced Service has recently been published, and we have fielded a few queries recently about both the governance arrangements for delivering offsite vaccinations and the potential use of a Protocol for administration of influenza vaccination- which would allow suitably trained members of staff to administer influenza vaccination under the supervision of a pharmacist.

We have therefore decided to put on an evening event to help clarify some of this year’s changes to the service, talk to you about the influenza vaccination requirement within the Pharmacy Quality Scheme, and to update you on whatever information we have about how the flu service is likely to progress this year alongside a potential phase 3 COVID booster programme

The meeting will be on Thursday 26^th August at 730pm and will last for no more than 1 hour (probabaly 30 mins presentation then 30 mins questions)

Deborah Hylands from the GPhC will also be attending the meeting to help answer any questions.
